IRPC Public Company Limited is reportedly considering a planned maintenance shutdown of two key PP production lines in Rayong, Thailand. Market sources indicate that the shutdown, affecting Lines 3 and 4, is slated for late October through mid-November. Both lines have a combined production capacity of 385,000 tons annually, making up 38% of the company’s production capacity.

This maintenance comes on the heels of a commercial shutdown of Line 4, which occurred from mid to late September. While IRPC has framed the upcoming maintenance as routine, the back-to-back shutdowns could raise concerns about potential disruptions in supply. The remaining PP and HDPE production lines at the same complex are unaffected by the overhaul.
