Major Qatar producer lifted LDPE offers to China

Market players reported to have received new offers from a major Qatar producer with $50/ton hike on LDPE cargoes to reach $1230/ton for LDPE film and $1360/ton for LDPE lamination, based on CFR China, LC AS term. However, the producer’s LLDPE film prices softened $5/ton to reach $1150-1160/ton, with the same term.

A trader commented, “Tight LDPE film supply in local market has supported the recent firming trend. We decided to purchase some quantity after obtain some discounts from the supplier. We see demand for import cargoes is still trailing behind of that in local market due to the recent depreciation of the Chinese Yuan.”
