Major Taiwanese producer lifted PE offers to China

A major Taiwanese producer reportedly lifted PE offers to China by $30/ton compared to pre-holiday levels, touching $1180/ton for HDPE film, $1190/ton for HDPE yarn, $1240/ton for LLDPE injection and $1370/ton for LDPE lamination, all based on CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader informed, “Our supplier implemented price hike following the pick up in demand, however, market sentiment is slower now and buyers are showing very limited interest in the latest offers. Our customers claimed to have obtained sufficient material in the past two days at the level $1140-1160/ton for the same cargoes, and this means that HDPE market might face tough time journey north.”
