China’s Tianjin Bohua to commence operations at new vinyl plants in 2H2025

Tianjin Bohua Petrochemical is poised to commence operations at its newly constructed vinyl complex in Tianjin, China, by the second half of 2025, according to industry sources. The structural components of the facility have been completed, with the installation of equipment and process pipelines now underway.

The CNY 6 billion project also incorporates advanced features, including a dedicated laboratory and an in-house fire control system, underscoring the company’s commitment to safety and innovation.

This development represents the second phase of Tianjin Bohua’s “Renovation and Relocation Project” an initiative aimed at relocating and modernizing its PP and PVC production facilities.

Phase I of the project, completed in 2022, involved relocating operations of the existing plants, including an 800,000-ton PVC unit, a 600,000-ton PDH unit, and a 300,000-ton PP unit to the Nangang Industrial Zone in Binhai New Area, Tianjin. The second phase focuses on expansion, positioning Tianjin Bohua as a key player in the region's petrochemical industry.
