Taiwanese PVC major announced November shipment with large hike 

According to market sources, a major Taiwanese producer has announced fresh PVC offers for November delivery to regional buyers with $40/ton increased from last month. The latest offers stand at $930/ton to China and Southeast Asia and $990/ton to India, all based on CIF, LC AS term. Export offers stand at $900/ton FOB Taiwan wit the same payment term.

Players are still puzzling with such large hike considering the sluggish buying interest in Southeast Asia region and the upcoming Diwali festival in India. Discussing about the acceptance levels amongst buyers, an Indian trader commented, “Offers to India is so near to $1000/ton threshold and there are a lot of reluctance observed at the moment. We would need to monitor further as our regular customers have yet to give any feedback on the latest prices.”
