Major Southeast Asian PE maker implemented price hike for China market

A major Southeast Asian PE producer has announced new PE offers for March delivery to China today with $40/t increased for HD Film and $30/t increased for LD Film compared to pre-holiday offers to reach $1120/t and $1150/t respectively, both on a CFR China, L/C AS basis.

A producer source informed, "Our LDPE line has encountered some technical glitches before the holidays and we managed to resume production after a week long repairing. We are willing to negotiate with serious buyers, but we do not plan any significant discount due to tight supply, especially for LDPE grade."
