Shell Singapore to restart naphtha cracker

Market sources reported that Shell Singapore is planning to resume the production of its naphtha cracker by 30 October 2016.
Based in Pulau Bukom, Singapore, the cracker produces 960,000 tons/year of ethylene, 540,000 tons/year of propylene, 155,000 tons/year of butadiene and 780,000 tons/year of MEG. The cracker has been forced to shutdown since 27 September 2016 due to compressor trip issue.
