Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co., China’s largest coal-based petrochemical producer, successfully concluded its auction on 18 June 2025 with robust participation across all prime grades. The full results are as follows:

Notably, Shenhua reduced the auction price for LLDPE film by CNY 100/ton compared to the previous session, a move that appears to have facilitated smoother deal closures amid cautious buying sentiment.

Despite the successful sell-out, feedback from market participants suggests that procurement remains largely need-based. "Buyers are still approaching with caution," one trader commented. "Although prices are rising, it’s still the traditional off-season for demand, and the short-term outlook remains highly uncertain."
