Major Thai lifted PE offers to China

A major producer from Thailand implemented price hike today to China market with an increased of $10-15/ton for HDPE film and yarn to reach $1175/ton and $1180/ton respectively, $20/ton increased for LLDPE film to reach $1280/ton, and $1325/ton for metallocene LLDPE, as compared to last week meanwhile no offers for LDPE and LLDPE due to limited supply availability, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader received the offers commented, “Our supplier has switched its LLDPE line to produce metallocene grade for the past few weeks and planning to switch back to LLDPE C4 film production within this week, meanwhile the supply for LDPE are very limited due to previous turnaround hence no official offers for today. Price trend in China is still on the firm stance hence we believed that there shall not be much difficulties to conclude deals this time.”
