Singapore's Shell lifted force majeure on naphtha cracker

Market sources reported that Shell Singapore has resumed the production of its naphtha-fed steam cracker by today.
Based in Pulau Bukom, Singapore, the cracker produces 960,000 tons/year of ethylene, 540,000 tons/year of propylene, 186,000 tons/year of butadiene, 276,000 tons/year of benzene and 780,000 tons/year of MEG. The cracker has been forced to shutdown since 27 September 2016 due to compressor trip issue and force majeure was declared on 29 September 2016.
