The investigations were initiated following a petition from local producer PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical, citing significant losses due to the pricing practices of foreign exporters.

KADI has given all affected countries until 7 November 2025 to apply for exemptions from potential anti-dumping duties. Authorities said the exemption window is intended to allow stakeholders to propose mitigation measures to sustain trade flows and minimize potential disruptions to the domestic supply chain.

The conclusion of the investigation underscores Indonesia’s increasingly assertive regulatory stance in protecting its petrochemical sector, which remains heavily reliant on imports to meet roughly 60% of local homo-PP demand in 2024. The government has also launched separate anti-dumping investigations into imports of LLDPE and PP block copolymer.

Market participants are now closely monitoring the outcome of exemption requests and potential duty implementations, which could alter regional trade dynamics and influence pricing trends in the months ahead.
