Transaction volumes for homo-PP yarn and LLDPE film rose notably at Shenhua’s latest session, supported by steadier movements in PP and LLDPE futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange, which traded within a narrow range before softening slightly toward midday.
According to market sources, stronger buying interest reflected not only more competitive homo-PP yarn prices but also buyers’ efforts to lock in material ahead of a possible uptrend, as firmer futures raised expectations of higher prices in the near term.
A trader noted that lower-priced LLDPE film cargoes available earlier in the week were no longer on offer, while other grades held stable levels. “Some buyers who postponed purchases yesterday returned for limited restocking today, but overall sentiment remains cautious,” the trader said. “Many are still observing whether prices can truly stabilize; otherwise, the market may continue to fluctuate within a narrow range in the near term.”
