Argentina has terminated its longstanding anti-dumping duties (ADD) on PVC profiles from China, the Ministry of Economy confirmed. Both the sunset review and the concurrent changed-circumstances review concluded with a negative final ruling, effectively removing all existing duties from 30 October. The decision brings to an end more than a decade of protectionist measures.

The original investigation, initiated on 3 December 2012, targeted imports from China and Germany. Argentina imposed an ADD of $880/ton on Chinese PVC profiles in July 2014, which was subsequently renewed in March 2020 following the first sunset review. The latest reviews, launched on 27 February 2025, resulted in a full termination of duties on PVC profiles used in doors, windows, and partitions under the HS code 3916.20.00.

Data from UN COMTRADE showed that in 2024, Argentina imported 63 tons of PVC profiles under the HS code 3916.20.00 from China. The removal of the ADD is expected to pave the way for this trade to expand moving forward.
