Major Thai cuts HDPE, LLDPE offers to China

A major maker from Thailand has announced new offers this week to China with a reduction of $10/ton for HDPE film and yarn to reach $1175/ton and $1180/ton respectively, $5/ton decrease for LLDPE film to reach $1275/ton, maintaining stable offers for LDPE film at $1400/ton and LDPE heavy duty at $1430/ton as compared to last week, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader commented, “We feel that the offers are still high, especially LDPE, whereby the overall market sentiment are weaker recently, with more deep sea cargoes emerging at a competitive price level. We are not confidence about the acceptance level from our customers meanwhile still waiting for further feedback.”
