Indonesia's Asahimas completed expansion at PVC plant

According to market sources, Asahimas Chemical has completed the expansion project at its petrochemical facility in Cilegon, Banten, Indonesia and started commercial production this month.

The expansion project took place back in 2013 with total investment of up to $400 million, which aim to increase the capacity as following:

At the moment, Asahimas supplies 80% of its output to domestic market and the remainder is shipped abroad. Asahimas Chemical is a joint venture between Asahi Glass (52.5%), Rodamas (18%), Ableman Finance (18%) and Mitsubishi Corp. (11.5%).
