Japan's Mitsui Chemical restarted olefins conversion unit

According to market sources, Japan’s Mitsui Chemical has restarted production at its olefins conversion unit (OCU) after four straight months shutdown on poor economics returned on propylene output.
The unit with the nameplate capacity of 140,000 ton/year of propylene is currently operating at 60% capacity. Sources added that the company is not able to handle any spot offer at the moment.
