Taiwanese major sold out PVC allocation for March

A major Taiwanese producers has apparently sold out their PVC export allocation for March shipment today, according to market players and there is no specific discount being reported as buying interest, especially in India is very healthy.
Indian players informed that the Taiwanese major has sold approximate 25,000 tons of PVC to this market within two days of offering. A trader added, “Demand in India has picked up significantly and domestic supply is very tight amid regular local production rate. Domestic offers for regular buyers is equivalent to $760-770/t EXW, cash basis after all the discounts.”
“We have purchased few hundred tons of Taiwanese and Korean cargoes this time and it seems Korean suppliers are also having less allocations to India. The improved demand in Indian market has further supporting overall price trend to remain firm,” another trader from India commented.
