PDH plant shut by Tianjin Bohai in China

According to market sources, Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Group Co Ltd in China has shut their propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant on 10th January 2016.

“The restart period of the unit is not confirmed yet and we are monitoring the market trend closely to see if it will impact much on the spot propylene market,” a trader from China informed.

Another source added, "We heard that the company experienced technical issue since last month which forced them to take their plant off-stream for 10 days in Jan."

The plant is located in Tianjin with the propylene capacity of 600,000mton/year.
