March: Further updates on Maoming turnaround schedule

According to market sources, Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical Company Limited is going to shut its naphtha cracker as well as downstream unit for scheduled turnaround end of this month.

Located at Guangdong, China, the naphtha cracker is able to produce 380,000 ton/year of ethylene, is expected to shut on 16 March 2016 until 22 April 2016, 110,000 ton/year No. 1 LDPE unit by 17 March 2016, 220,000 ton/year FDPE unit by 14 March 2016, and 170,000 ton/year No. 1 PP by 17 March 2016. Both PE units are expected to be remain off-stream until 23 April 2016, No. 1 PP unit until 22 April 2016.

Meanwhile, the PE units also will be shut by this month as reported earlier.
