Major Taiwanese cuts HDPE offers in China

Market players in China received fresh HDPE offers from a major Taiwanese producer today with further price cut as much as $5-10/ton compared to past two weeks. The latest offers for HDPE film and injection at $1140/ton, HDPE yarn at $1160/ton, HDPE blow molding at $1175/ton, all on a CFR China, LC at sight basis.

A trader commented, “Taiwanese cargoes are currently at the market’s high end offer level. Continuous resistance from buyers for the high offer level are forcing some traders to offer more discounts, but deals concluded are still disappointing, we remain pessimistic for June outlook.”
