Carbide based PVC producer lifted export offers

Following the new prices announcement from a Taiwanese major, several other Chinese carbide based PVC makers have decided to increase offers for their export cargoes by $10-15/t compared to last week.

A producer said, “We adjusted our prices up $10/t compared to last week to reach $735/t FOB China, LC AS term. However, we intent to implement further hike later this week following the international trend. We expect good demand in India could support our move in the near term.” 

Another maker offer their carbide based PVC cargoes at $740/t FOB China term added, “Our offers are up $15/t from previous opening and prices might move up again considering the extent of price increases from the Taiwanese producer. We think buyers would slowly accept higher prices.”

Meanwhile, trader received offer for this material at $750-760/t FOB China said, “We think this cargoes could be a little too high for India market after adding the anti-dumping duty and buyers might find it difficult to accept. In Southeast Asia, demand is mediocre, hence we are not confident about the buyer respond.” 

Export carbide based PVC from China is currently reported at $735-760/t FOB China, LC AS term.
