Coal based PP offered higher in Vietnam

Market players reported that Chinese coal based PP is currently being offered at $20-40/t higher than last week in Vietnam to reach $1000/t CIF, LC AS term.

A buyer received the new offer said, “Price has jumped $40/t from our last offer received. We were planning to purchased a small quantity for testing, however, we decided to postpone our decision as we think this cargoes is little too high to accept.”

Another trader informed deal for this material concluded at $980/t CIF Vietnam said, “Supply is tight and this week very few international sellers open new prices. We think the PP market still has room to move higher in the near term.”

Import homo-PP to Vietnam is currently stand at $960-1000/t, CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.
