According to a media report, Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (PCS) has announced its investment decision, which involved USD80 million worth of capital to build a new naphtha import facility in Jurong Island, Singapore. 

The construction is expected to complete by third quarter of 2017 and commercial production would take place by the following quarter. Up on completion of the project, PCS would be able to optimize feed to its naphtha crackers and enhance capability to handle naphtha imports on larger vessels.

Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (PCS) is a joint venture between Sumitomo Chemical, Shell and Qatar Petroleum. Based in the petrochemical island of Jurong, Singapore, PCS owns two naphtha crackers with total capacity of 1.1 million ton/year.
