Another major Saudi maker lifted PE prices to Vietnam

Market sources reported that another major Saudi Arabia producer has announced April shipment cargoes to Vietnam today with $100-110/t increased from last month for PE to reach $1220/t for HDPE film, $1210/t for HDPE blow moulding and 1230/t for LLDPE film, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term. After two months of not having any PP allocation, the producer open offer again this month at $1060/t for homo-PP yarn and injection and $1130/t for PP block copolymer with the same term.

A trader said, “There is no LLDPE film cargoes available while we are negotiating for some discount on HDPE parcels. The supplier also informs us that they have very small quantity of homo-PP cargoes. Local market is not very active today as most of our regular customers are not willing to accept higher prices. We are expecting some minor correction to take place by mid of April.”
