Major Thailand lifted HDPE offers to Vietnam

A major Thailand producer has announced new HDPE prices to Vietnam this week with $15/t hike compared to last week to reach $1235/t CIF Vietnam for HDPE film cargoes. The maker has also lifted PP block copolymer price to $1160/t with the same term.

Source from the producer said, “We only have 100 tons of HDPE film this week and not others grades at the moment. Demand seems to be weaker and we are facing stiff competition from re-export cargoes at the moment.”

Import HDPE film to Vietnam currently stands at $1200-1260/t, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.
