China's Shenhua to shut coal-based PP plant for maintenance

According to market sources, Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co is planning for a scheduled turnaround for its coal-based PP plant starting beginning of April 2016.

Based in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China, the coal-based PP unit has a production capacity of 300,000 ton/year. The plant is expected to shut from 1 April 2016 to 9 May 2016. Market players informed that the inventories level of the producer is not high while most of the cargoes are still selling on an auction basis. The plant is currently producing L5E89 grade.
