China's Mengda to startup new MTO-based PP and PE plants

According to market sources, Inner Mongolia ChinaCoal Mengda New Energy & Chemical Industry Co Ltd (Zhongmei Mengda Chemical) is in preparation to startup its new MTO-based PP and PE plants next month.

Based in Inner Mongolia, China, the MTO plant houses a PP and a PE unit with annual capacity 300,000 ton/year each. The plant is  expected to run commercial production within 10-20 April 2016.  The PE unit is designed to produce LLDPE 7042 grade, while PP unit producing homo-PP raffia L5E89 grade.
