Emergency shutdown at Daqing's PP unit

According to market sources, Daqing Petrochemical Company has unexpectedly shut its PP unit yesterday due to granulating machine failure.

Located in Daqing, China, the PP unit has a production capacity of 100,000 ton/year. It is expected to resume by 5 April 2016. Players commented that the impact of this incident is minimal as the capacity involved are minor, meanwhile, there are new productions emerging in April 2016 as reported by CommoPlast earlier.
