Emergency shutdown at Taiwan's FPC No. 1 cracker
According to market sources, Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPC) has shut its No. 1 cracker since 19 March 2018 owing to technical glitches.
Based in Mailiao, Taiwan, the cracker is able to produce 700,000 tons/year of ethylene, 350,000 tons/year of propylene and 109,000 tons/year of butadiene. It is expected to remain off-stream for around a week.
