ChinaCoal Mengda delayed startup of new MTO-based units

According to market sources, Inner Mongolia ChinaCoal Mengda New Energy & Chemical Industry Co Ltd (Zhongmei Mengda Chemical) has delayed the startup of its new MTO-based PP and PE plants due to issues on water quality.

Located at Inner Mongolia, China, the 600,000 ton/year of methanol project included a PP and a PE unit with annual capacity 300,000 ton/year each. The initial startup plan of the company was at 10-20 April 2016 as reported earlier. However, the latest startup schedule remained unconfirmed.
