Japan's Keiyo to shut HDPE plant for turnaround

According to market sources, Keiyo Polyethylene is planning to shut its HDPE plant for a scheduled maintenance by mid of May 2018.
Based in Chiba, Japan, the plant has a production capacity of 170,000 tons/year. It is expected to remain off-stream until early July. The turnaround will be corresponding with the maintenance at its naphtha-fed steam cracker, which is able to produce 700,000 tons/year of ethylene and 400,000 tons/year of propylene, as reported earlier.
