China's Fujian unexpectedly shutdown one PP unit, planned maintenance at others

According to market sources, China's Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited (FREP) has unexpectedly shut its old PP unit due to some technical glitches. It is uncertain on how long this 120,000 ton/year line would remain offline.
 
Meanwhile, the company also plans to bring its No. 1 and No. 2 PP plant off-stream for 20 days in May to conduct further maintenance work after encountered mechanical woes last month. Both of these plants have a combined capacity of 550,000 ton/year of PP.
