Thailand's IRPC mulling shutdown at PP plant

According to market sources, IRPC Public Company Limited is planning a 10 days shut down at their PP plant as soon as next week, starting 18 Jan 2016. Based in Rayong, IRPC has an annual PP capacity of 475,000 tons/year.

In 2015, the company announced that it has undertaken an expansion plan to increase polypropylene (PP) capacity by 300,000 tons to 775,000 tons/year. The project is expected to complete in 2018.
