Emergency shutdown at Sinopec Zhongyuan's PE unit

According to market sources, Sinopec Zhongyuan Ethylene Corporation has unexpectedly shut its PE unit yesterday afternoon due to reactor fouling.

Based in Puyang City, Henan Province, China, the PE plant has an annual production capacity of 260,000 ton/year. It is expected to remain offstream for 2-5 days.
