Thai producer announces new PE price to China with reduction

A major Thailand producer has announced new PE prices to China today with $10-20/t lower compared to last week, according to players. The latest offers from the producer are reported at $1115/t for HDPE film and LDPE heavy duty and $1160/t for LDPE film, CFR China, LC AS term.

A trader informed, “We received fresh offers with reduction this evening and this could be due to weaker upstream costs. The producer claimed that they are not having LLDPE film supply at the moment and they will only be able to ship out the HDPE and LDPE cargoes by second half of February.” The source added that demand in the import market is weak as buyers are very cautious about making fresh purchases.   

Import PE offer to China today reported at $1050-1115/t for HDPE film, $1080/t for LLDPE film and $1100-1130/t for LDPE film, CFR China, LC 0-90 days term.
