Indonesia’s Chandra Asri might shut petchem complex for maintenance

PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk is planning to take its PP and PE lines off-stream for a month in quarter 3 of 2019 for scheduled maintenance, sources close to the company said. 

There have not been any confirmations on the exact timing of the shutdown; however, the overhaul in PP and PE plants is to follow the maintenance work at its steam cracker at the same location.

The company operates three PP lines in the Cilegon complex with a combined capacity of 480,000 tons/year, two PE units with a total output of 336,000 tons/year. The cracker produces 840,000 tons/year of ethylene and 470,000 tons/year of propylene.
