Kuwait’s Equate shuts ethylene cracker for turnaround

According to market sources, Equate Petrochemical Company has shut its cracker by 13 January 2019 for a planned maintenance.
Based in Shuaiba, Kuwait, the cracker is able to produce 850,000 tons/year of ethylene. It is expected to remain off-stream for about 6-7 weeks.
