PT Polytama Propindo reportedly shut down its PP unit in Indonesia late last week after facing an unspecified technical issue. The plant resumes operation this week but yet to reach normal operating rate.

The unit is producing 240,000 tons/year of PP at the moment and the company plans to expand the output to 300,000 tons/year within 2019.

Indonesian buyers are rather wary about the local supply condition following the shutdown given the fact the most of homo-PP grades, except yarn, are not comfortably available in the market.
