Lotte Chemical keeps Yeosu cracker offline following emergency shutdown

Naphtha Ethylene Propylene
South Korea’s Lotte Chemical has not been able to restart its naphtha cracker in Yeosu following a power failure last Thursday that forced the company to declare emergency shutdown at the unit.
The cracker completed an expansion in 2018 and is able to produce 1.2 million tons per annum of ethylene and 620,000 tons of propylene.
It is unclear how long the company might take to bring the operation online.
