Zhejiang Satellite successfully started up PDH unit, downstream PP plant to come online soon

Market sources reported the successful startup at Zhejiang Satellite’s new propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit and on-spec propylene cargoes from the plant are available at the moment following a month of trial run. 

This is the Phase II as part of the company’s expansion project. The PDH unit has an annual output of 450,000 tons of propylene.

Meanwhile, Zhejiang Satellite is also on schedule to start up the downstream polypropylene (PP) plant on the same site within February 2019. The 150,000 tons per annum line is getting propylene feed from the PDH unit.
