A fire broke out at ExxonMobil’s refinery tank in Jurong Island on Saturday, 23 March 2019, according to media reports. The company said that the fire involved residue within a tank, which were undergoing maintenance at the time the incident took place. No injuries are reported.
The refinery is able to process 592,000 barrels of oil per day. The impact on the downstream units is unclear at the moment while the company did not reveal the damages the fire caused.
