LLDPE plant at Qatar’s Qapco remain off-stream till next month

According to market sources, Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) has unexpectedly shut its LLDPE plant by mid of the month due to technical glitches.

Based in Mesaieed Industrial City, Qatar, the LLDPE plant has a production capacity of 600,000 tons/year. It is expected to remain off-stream for about 30 days. Players from China market informed that suppliers are notifying them regarding the shortage of supply in the near term due to plant issue, including allocation for converters.
