Indonesia’s Pertamina to shut PP plant for maintenance

PT Pertamina is planning to take its sole PP unit in Indonesia off-stream for routine maintenance work on 27 April 2019. The 47,000 tons per annum plant is expected to remain shut for about two weeks.

Sources informed that the producer has reduced the contract allocation for May delivery as a result of the shutdown. However, buyers have not expressed the concern on the supply citing that demand for PP is usually weak during Ramadan months.
