Shenhua XinJiang to startup new coal-based PP and PE units

According to market sources, Shenhua XinJiang Coal-Based New Materials Project is planning to startup the production for its new coal-based PP and PE units by 20 May 2016.

Located at Urumqi, China, the company has a 300,000 ton/year coal-based PE unit (2426H grade) and 300,000 ton/year coal-based PP unit (S1003 grade) while 40,000 ton/year of the production capacity will be utilize for recycling C4. Meanwhile, the company also has a 1.8 million ton/year production capacity of methanol (and it is able to reach 1.9 million ton/year on high production rate). It is expected to have commercial products in the market by beginning of June 2016.
