UPDATE: Vietnam’s Nghi Son delays restart PP plant following technical issues

It is reported that Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical is unable to restart its sole PP plant in Vietnam as per initial plan given the persistent technical issues, according to market sources. 

The 370,000 tons per annum PP unit was taken off-stream on 20 June 2019 following an unspecified technical issue.

Sources familiar with the issue said that the plant might only resume production by end of July or beginning of August 2019.
