Taiwan’s Formosa to shut PVC plant for maintenance

According to market sources, Formosa Plastic Corporation is planning a 17 days shutdown at one of its PVC lines in Mailiao site in the coming month.

The 500,000 tons/year unit is scheduled to go offline from 10 September to 27 September.

In the meantime, the upstream VCM unit with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons/year will also be taken off-stream during this period.
