Emergency shutdown at China’s Zhongtian PP, PE plants

Market sources reported that Zhongtian Hechuang Co Ltd has unexpectedly shut one of its PP and LD plants today due to technical glitches.

Based in Erdos, Inner Mongolia, China, the plants which are involved in shutdown include a 350,000 tons/yaer PP (Tubular Method) plant and a 250,000 tons/year of LDPE (Tubular Method) plant. Restart schedule could not be ascertained. Meanwhile its 120,000 tons/year of LDPE (Kettle Method) plant is operating at reduced rate, while 300,000 tons/year LLDPE plant and 350,000 tons/year PP plant (Gas Phase) is running normal.
