China's Shenhua Ningxia brings forward scheduled shutdown at PP line

According to market sources, Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group is bringing forward the scheduled turnaround at its PP (MTP) units to 17 May 2016 from initial plan of 30 June 2016 due to some production issues.

Based in Ningxia, China, the company has PP 1 (200,000 ton/year line 1 and 300,000 ton/year line 2) and PP 2 (200,000 ton/year line 3 and 300,000 ton/year line 4) units. The PP Line 2, 3 and 4 are expected to be shut starting 17 May 2016 until 15 June 2016 while PP Line 1 is running at reduced rate at the moment. Meanwhile, a source closed to the company informed that they are going to shut their 1.67 million ton/year methanol unit gradually starting today, while another 850,000 ton/year methanol unit is operating at normal rate at the moment.
