Japan's Mitsui to shut cracker for maintenance

Market sources reported that Mitsui Chemical is mulling over a month long maintenance shutdown at its naphtha-based cracker in Osaka, Japan. Initial off-line timeframe is scheduled from 20 June till 20 July 2016.

The cracker is producing 500,000 tons/year of ethylene and 370,000 tons/year of propylene. Meanwhile, there is no shutdown planned at its Ichihara cracker in 2016.
