Thai producer suspends PE offers in Vietnam

According to market sources, a major Thailand producer has suspended their PE offers to Vietnam today due to weak demand in this market. The producer reportedly reducing their offers by additional $20-25/t to conclude deals after stepped back $25/t on their prices at the beginning of the week. The latest concluded level from the maker is reported at $1080/t for HDPE film and $1090-1095/t for HDPE yarn and HDPE blow molding, CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A source close to the company commented, “Falling crude oil has aroused a great level of resistance among buyers, hence we decided to stop offering to monitor further market movement.”
